Early diagnosis of liver cancer is important so that timely treatment can be started. Here we listed the various tests done to diagnose liver cancer.

1. Blood Tests

Blood tests, such as the alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) test, may be indicative of liver cancer. High levels of AFP may indicate liver cancer.

2. Ultrasound

Ultrasound scan is used to detect abnormal lumps in the liver. It is a simple and non-invasive test.

3. CT Scan

A CT scan provides detailed images of the liver, helping the doctor determine the size and location of the tumor.

4. MRI

An MRI scan gives detailed and clear images of the liver, which helps in identifying the structure of the liver and possible tumors.

5. Biopsy

In a biopsy, a sample of liver tissue is taken and examined under a microscope. This is the most accurate method for confirming the diagnosis.

Get A Second Opinion
