Early diagnosis of cancer is important for treatment. Blood tests can indicate different types of cancer. Here, we will discuss different ways to detect cancer through blood tests:

1. Common Blood Count (CBC)

The CBC test checks the amounts and types of red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets. Abnormal levels may indicate blood cancer such as leukemia.

2. Tumor Marker Testing

Tumor markers are proteins or other substances produced by cancer cells. High levels of these in the blood may indicate the presence of cancer.

3. Blood Chemistry Test

Blood chemistry test checks the amount of various chemicals in the blood. Abnormal levels may indicate liver or kidney cancer.

4. Peripheral Blood Film

In this test, a small drop of blood is spread on a slide and examined under a microscope. It may show abnormalities in the size and shape of blood cells, which may be a sign of cancer.

5. Liquid Biopsy

This is a new technology that identifies free floating cancer cells or their DNA fragments in the blood. It can help in early detection of different types of cancer.
